Background: Joyce was born and raised in the forest. She spent almost all of her free time painting, singing, playing the harp, and being with the animals. When her parents were murdered, she went to a town to learn to fight and seek the one who killed her parents. Usually, Joyce is very peaceful and owns a Siamese cat named Pixie that follows her around and helps her. Joyce is one of a few people with two rune powers rather than one. She has the ability to play her harp in a way that enchants the audience into a deep trance. Her other runic power is that she may speak every language imaginable, even ones people have heard or never will hear.

Background: Kaitlin, ever since she began to talk, always loved to help others. The love to help others grew as she did. When a group of goblins assaulted her village in a failed attempt to take over, Kaitlin could not believe the bloodshed. She valiantly tried to save the people, and even some goblins, but most died. She became depressed. After the battle, a goblin assassin entered their village and made an attempt on the local healer, her mother's, life. When she heard the noise and ran into the room to see this goblin standing over her near death mother, Kaitlin screamed and cried. Suddenly, she began to glow as the magic inside her had awoken. With a sudden blast of holy magic, she vaporized the goblin and then she proceeded to heal her mother with the magic. Kaitlin's mother decided to have her train with the great Melekor, master of healers. He was old of age but trained her well, then a year ago he died in an accident while trying to save some people. She avowed to continue her quest to help others. Kaitlin's rune powers are still locked away, but she has shown signs of being able to call upon the heavens for instant help.
